THE KING’S SHILLING: GUIDED WALK, 25 JUNE AT 11:00
Book now and pay Tour Guide, Lyn Hand who will lead this walk, through Chester, visiting places with connections to World War One including the Town Hall, Cathedral, Roodee and Castle. Lyn will be recounting stories of both the military and Cestrians during the war: from recruitment, receiving the King’s Shilling, to remembrance.
The walk finishes at the Albion Inn to view the huge display of memorabilia from the war and, if you wish, you can buy lunch there.
Meet in the Visitor Information Centre at the Town Hall for this 90-minute accessible walk. Takes place 25 June at 11:00. Book now, pay tour guide. Costs: £8 adult, £7 concession (in full time education, retired) and £20 family (2 adults & 2 children under 16)
